A house in Provence, a qualified teacher, an experience tailored just for you.

A DAEFLE graduate with around ten years’ experience teaching French as a foreign language, Marie speaks French, English and Spanish. She has lived in Provence for 25 years and has also lived in the Netherlands, Spain and England.

This experience of living abroad is central to her teaching style. She knows what it means to learn a language in a foreign country, to navigate between two cultures, and to search for the right words in everyday life. With her students, she doesn’t act like a teacher: she shares.

Your home in Provence

Marie’s house is neither a tourist accommodation nor a classroom. It is a Provençal home where you will live as part of the family: breakfast on the terrace, shared meals, quiet evenings. Maximum four people, single or double room, private bathroom. Around the house, swimming pool, jacuzzi, gym and pétanque court: the setting is designed to make you feel truly at home.

Marie and Alain welcome you together: you will share meals and, often, activities with them, in a truly family atmosphere.

Fayence is a hilltop village in the Var, 40 minutes from Cannes and an hour from Nice Airport. Neither an isolated mountain retreat nor a major city: this is an authentic Provençal setting, just a stone’s throw from the major destinations of the Côte d’Azur.

Vineyards, medieval villages, the perfumery of Grasse, Lake Saint-Cassien just 10 minutes from the house… The Var countryside offers a cultural and natural richness that few regions in France can match.
